Job summary

Expleo Group in Lisboa, Portugal, is seeking an experienced Java/J2EE developer to join our engineering and technology practice. You will contribute to distributed systems, design technical solutions, and help deliver high-availability services.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of hands-on Java experience, strong SQL, and familiarity with JBoss, Spring Boot and Maven. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous integration.

Responsibilities

• 5–8 years of proven professional experience in Java and J2EE development.

Essential Skills

• Strong SQL knowledge (MariaDB or other relational databases).
• Experience with JBoss and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Maven.

Desired Skills

• Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, Pulsar, and AMQ.
• Knowledge of JAXB and JPA.
• Experience with development and continuous integration tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Git, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, and OpenTofu (Tofu).
• Knowledge of Angular.
• Understanding of distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
• Experience with Snowflake, vector databases, observability tooling, or LLM gateway patterns.
