A leading IT services company is looking for a Senior Java Developer in Leiria, Portugal. You will design and build scalable backend solutions, ensuring code quality and collaborating with teams. The ideal candidate has over 4 years in backend development using Java and Spring Boot, with strong skills in microservices and cloud environments. The position offers a hybrid work model with one day onsite each month.

Qualificações

• 4+ years’ experience in backend development with Java / Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and Kafka.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English (C1/C2) – mandatory.

Senior Java Developer

Senior Java Developer – Hybrid (1x/month in Fátima/Leiria)

Your Role

We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to help design and build scalable backend solutions that bring real value to the business.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement solution architectures and technical decisions;
• Develop and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot;
• Ensure code quality, best practices, and perform code reviews;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor other developers;
• Maintain existing systems and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years’ experience in backend development with Java / Spring Boot;
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and Kafka;
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI);
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (Azure or similar);
• Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito);
• Strong communication and leadership skills;
• Fluency in English (C1/C2) – mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience with DDD, Jira, and API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).

Work Setup

• Hybrid: 1 day per month onsite in Fátima / Leiria.
