Overview

Senior Integration Architect – Long Term Contract (Remote, Portugal-based)

We are seeking a Senior Integration Architect for a long-term contract engagement. You will play a key role in designing and implementing integration microservices, supporting development teams, and modernizing legacy systems. This role requires deep experience in Java Spring Boot services, Kafka, and integration architecture, with a focus on building scalable, maintainable solutions. Occasional travel may be required (0–15%).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement integration microservices for complex systems.
• Support development teams in building and deploying Java Spring Boot services.
• Redesign and replace legacy integrations with modern, scalable solutions.
• Work with messaging platforms, particularly Kafka, to ensure reliable data flows.
• Collaborate with functional teams to align architectural decisions with business goals.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to development teams on best practices and integration strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Integration Architect or similar role.
• Strong background with integration microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot.
• Experience with Kafka for messaging and driven architectures.
