AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design of a large-scale GCP data platform for an enterprise telecommunications client. The role starts part-time and scales to full-time, offering flex-time options to work from home or office.

You will define lakehouse/medallion architectures, oversee ingestion, transformation, and governance layers, and guide migration of legacy ETL to cloud-native patterns. Occasional UK travel is expected.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of experience in data/enterprise architecture.
• Experience building GCP-based lakehouse/medallion architectures at large scale.
• Experience with migration of legacy ETL to cloud-native architectures.
• Proven ability to guide architecture decisions with executives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to the UK occasionally.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own the target-state lakehouse/medallion architecture for a multi-petabyte GCP data platform (BigQuery, GCS, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
• Translate transformation goals into scalable architecture decisions and delivery roadmaps.
• Define architecture for ingestion, transformation, curation, cataloging, governance, and analytics-serving layers.
• Advise on migration strategy for legacy ETL pipelines into modern patterns.
• Evaluate and help select ingestion/transformation tooling as part of proofs of concept.
• Define data governance and cataloging strategy aligned with GCP catalog capabilities.
• Act as senior technical reviewer to ensure security and maintainability.
• Present architecture decisions to executives and security stakeholders.
• Operate within a controlled toolchain and AI-assisted development environments.
