Capgemini Engineering is seeking an experienced Software Tester to join our Portugal team. You will analyze requirements, prepare and execute diverse tests, document results, and log defects. The role involves collaborating with analysts, developers, and the Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum setup.

You will also support release validation, identify automation candidates, and help maintain quality metrics across projects. A strong background in SDLC and Portuguese language proficiency is required.

Qualificações

• Degree or technical qualification in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of software testing experience.
• Formal training in software testing.
• Experience preparing and executing test cases.
• Experience with functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Experience in defect logging and defect management.
• Knowledge of SDLC.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of test management and defect-tracking tools.
• Proficiency in Portuguese (CEFR C1) or native level.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression, interface, and smoke tests.
• Support usability and performance testing.
• Document test results and produce test evidence.
• Log defects with clear information and steps.
• Track defect resolution and retest as needed.
• Maintain test cases and quality documentation up to date.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with analysts, developers, and the Product Owner.
• Support release validation activities before production deployment.
• Identify tests suitable for automation.
• Assist in analyzing incidents in production.
• Contribute to test execution reports and quality metrics.
