Job summary

Capgemini Portugal is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to drive Shift-Left testing, define test strategies, and build robust automated UI/API test frameworks across web apps and API services. You will integrate tests into CI/CD, collaborate with developers and Product Owners, and mentor teammates to promote testing best practices.

The role requires hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, and API testing tools, plus knowledge of CI/CD and cloud platforms like Azure.

Qualifications

Experience in test automation for web applications and APIs.
Strong knowledge of Playwright (preferred), Selenium, Postman, and Karate DSL.
Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.
Experience implementing and maintaining Quality Gates within delivery pipelines.
Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
ISTQB certification is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

Define test strategies, test plans, and quality gates.
Drive Shift-Left testing and Quality Engineering practices.
Execute manual and automated testing for web applications and APIs.
Build and maintain automated UI and API test frameworks.
Perform performance testing and analyze bottlenecks.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
