Job summary

Gramian Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Java/Angular Developer to modernise financial processes by replacing legacy tools with scalable microservices. You will cover the full delivery lifecycle from requirements analysis to production support, working remotely within the EU with occasional Luxembourg visits.

We require 7+ years of hands-on Java experience (Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate), strong Angular/TypeScript skills, automated testing, Git-based workflows and solid SQL.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience across production releases.
• Strong experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA and Hibernate.
• Proven ability to write and maintain automated unit and integration tests for Java applications.
• Hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript/JavaScript, including backend API integration.
• Experience with Git-based team development, branches, PRs and code reviews.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, XML, YAML and JSON.
• Experience with microservices and modern delivery practices.
• Experience using AI coding agents for implementation, review or testing.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be EU-based and able to travel occasionally to Luxembourg.

About the Role

Our client is modernising business-critical financial processes that are currently handled through legacy tools such as Excel and Access, moving them into supported, scalable applications and microservices.

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Java / Angular Developer to work across the complete delivery lifecycle - from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, release, deployment, documentation, and production support. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, automated testing, Git-based development, SQL, and microservices.

CONTRACT: Project-based engagement

COMMITMENT: 100%, full-time

LOCATIONS: Remote within the EU, with occasional on-site attendance in Luxembourg (approximately 5 working days per year)

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and clarify business requirements and analyse existing processes and applications.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Angular and TypeScript / JavaScript, including backend API integration.

• Experience with Git‑based team development, including branches, pull/merge requests, and code review.

• Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, XML, YAML, and JSON.

• Experience with microservices and modern application delivery practices.

• Experience using AI coding agents such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Codex for implementation, modification, review, or testing - not only code completion.

• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.

• Must be based within the EU and able to travel occasionally to Luxembourg.
