Overview

Senior Developer (Freelance to Full-Time) – Spendigo

Duration & Availability: 3+ month contract (start ASAP). Location: Toulon (France) / Remote-friendly. Languages: English required, French appreciated.

Context

Spendigo is building a digital tipping platform (web & mobile). We're looking for a Senior Developer / Lead Engineer to design, develop, and scale the product alongside the founders. This is a true builder role: on coding, architecture decisions, mentoring, and direct impact on the roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Back-end: Design a scalable REST API in Go, build core modules (users, card & ACH transactions), integrate Stripe & Plaid, microservices, performance & security.
• Front-end: Set up and evolve a React scaffold (responsive web), collaborate with the designer on customer & admin interfaces.
• Infra / DevOps: Deployments on AWS, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, quality assurance & observability.
• Product & Leadership: Tech stack decisions, mentoring, aligning business & tech priorities, solving complex issues.

Tech Stack & Environment

• Go, React (React Native or similar)
• AWS (or GCP/Azure), GitHub Actions, IaC (infrastructure as code)
• Mobile experience (iOS/Android), QR/NFC/POS integrations are a plus

Profile We're Looking For

• 5+ years of full-stack experience; senior level
• Strong expertise in Go with strong React proficiency
• Fintech / payments background (ideally) with Stripe & Plaid
• Startup & remote work experience
• Clear communication, ownership mindset
• Fluent English; French is a plus

Nice-to-Haves

• IoT integrations, advanced CI/CD, technical leadership / Lead experience
