Neotalent Conclusion is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our teams in Porto, focusing on high-traffic web and e-commerce platforms. You will design and implement performance-driven frontends, balancing SSR and CSR while advancing headless architectures and ensuring accessibility and quality.

Qualifications

• Highly experienced in developing production-grade web frontends with the ability to work independently on complex challenges.
• Strong understanding of SSR and CSR and their impact on performance and UX.
• Experience optimizing high-traffic sites for Core Web Vitals and accessibility to WCAG standards.
• Proficient with Git, code reviews and automated testing; familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our teams and contribute to the development and evolution of high-traffic web and e-commerce platforms.

You will work on modern frontend solutions with a strong focus on performance, accessibility, maintainability and engineering quality, contributing to the evolution of web architectures and supporting the transition towards modern and headless approaches.

What you will do:

• Develop, maintain and evolve robust frontend solutions for high-traffic web platforms;
• Build performant and accessible user experiences using modern web technologies and engineering best practices;
• Work with both Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Client-Side Rendering (CSR) approaches;
• Monitor and improve web performance using metrics and tools such as Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse, while ensuring alignment with WCAG accessibility standards;
• Contribute to automated testing, Git workflows and code reviews, ensuring high standards of code quality;
• Participate in the evolution of frontend architectures, including headless and composable approaches;
• Use AI-assisted development tools effectively, critically reviewing, testing and validating AI-generated code before its integration.

What you are like:

• Highly experienced in developing and maintaining production-grade web frontends, with the seniority to work independently on complex frontend challenges;
• Strong understanding of SSR and CSR, including their impact on performance and user experience;
• Hands-on experience optimising high-traffic websites for Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse and WCAG accessibility;
• Proficient with Git, code review practices and automated testing;
• Mature and critical user of AI development tools, able to assess, validate and improve AI-generated code;
• Knowledge of React and TypeScript is highly valued;
• Experience with headless architecture migrations and large-scale e-commerce environments is a plus;
• Knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / B2C Commerce) in production environments is highly valued;
• Knowledge of React Native is a plus.
