Luma Financial Technologies in Lisbon, Portugal is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to design and implement integrations with our platform. You will collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business teams to create scalable, secure solutions and maintain high performance.

The role emphasizes test coverage, CI/CD, production support, and working across time zones in a decentralized team.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Eng, or related field.
• At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Experience in fast-paced agile environments.
• Proven track record designing large-scale, secure, high-traffic distributed systems.
• Proven track record writing high-quality, scalable and maintainable code.
• Strong experience with React and Angular frontend applications.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Experience working with stakeholders to build end-to-end solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing (AWS preferred).
• Hands-on experience with all aspects in AI‑DLC
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience coding with AI tools like Claude Code and AWS Kiro.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement scalable SPA based on microservice architecture
• Develop and maintain high-performance React and Spring Boot applications
• Make architectural decisions to design scalable, maintainable, reliable systems
• Design data models in relational and non-relational databases
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies
• Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and drive technical solutions
• Work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices
• Mentor junior team members in AI-DLC practices
