Job summary

Ferring Pharmaceuticals SA is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Group Consolidation & Reporting team in Lisbon. You will ensure timely group reporting and consolidation, collaborate on the SAP Group Reporting implementation, and support IFRS-compliant reporting across the multinational organisation.

This role requires 3–5 years in reporting/consolidation, strong IFRS knowledge, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant or final degree in Business Economics/Accounting Management.
• 3 to 5 years experience in Reporting & consolidation or major external audit firm.
• Knowledge of SAP and/or consolidation tools.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience in multinational corporate structures.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with Power BI and data cubes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly and yearly reporting and consolidation process, including validation and consolidation of Sales, intercompany, P&L and Balance Sheet with variance analysis.
• Contribute to the SAP Group Reporting post-implementation and adoption of new reporting methods.
• Interact with Group Auditors to ensure IFRS-compliant financial statements and notes.
• Assist in updating the Financial and Accounting Manual for IFRS changes and SAP processes.
• Support forecasting and budgeting data collection and reporting for executive management.
• Carry out ad-hoc analyses on group results with local entities.
• Maintain and improve financial data access and reporting tools and processes.
• Support subsidiaries regarding financial and group reporting questions.

As Senior Financial Analyst within the Group Consolidation & Reporting team, you are expected to engage with the Finance Vision, Mission and Commitment and ensure delivery on the key group finance consolidation & reporting activities, in alignment with the group policies and financial objectives. You will be working within Group finance team, other local Finance teams and relevant stakeholders to identify and support business objectives by analysing, planning and executing the various group finance process, including monthly reporting, preparation of year end group audit, annual report issuance, group forecast & budget process.

In addition, you will work closely with OneERP project team for the SAP Group Reporting tool implementation and facilitate post implementation project phasis with new reporting tools while integrating new ways of reporting & enhancement processes.

This position is a great opportunity to work in an international environment, covering a wide scope within the group finance team, including consolidation and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, various analysis and implementation of the latest SAP technology.

Your day at Ferring

• Reporting/Consolidation: support the Consolidation and Reporting department in the monthly & yearly reporting and consolidation process including the validation and the consolidation of Sales, intercompany, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet and provide variance analysis and commentaries.
• OneERP project : contribute to the SAP Group Reporting post implementation while supporting other entities in the adoption of new ways of working & reporting.
• For year end and for some selected parts of the Yearly financial statements, interact with Group Auditors to ensure a full compliance of the Financial Statement with IFRS. Establish & carry out those notes of the Financial Statements and contribute to the review of the text and accuracy of the Financial Statements.
• Financial and Accounting Manual: support the preparation of the Financial and Accounting Manual (F&A Manual that is used by all the Ferring finance community as the repository of financial reporting & processes), support the update linked to IFRS changes & SAP new processes into the F&A Manual.
• Support the forecasting & budgeting data collection processes and reporting to enable a timely and accurate forecasting financial information of the Ferring Group financial performance to Executive Management.
• Carry out ad-hoc Analysis on group results with local entities.
• Maintain and improve the financial data accesses through user accesses process review, financial reports improvements.
• Support the subsidiaries regarding financial aspects and group reporting related questions.

• 3 to 5 years relevant work experience within Reporting & consolidation and / or major external audit firm.
• Knowledge of SAP and or consolidation tool.

• Demonstrated solid analytical capacity and understanding of financial and accounting principles and processes.
• Experience working with Power BI, Data cubes - nice to have.
