Nortech in Lisbon, Portugal seeks a Senior IT/OT Systems Engineer focused on low-level development and high-performance data acquisition to architect the edge intelligence for telemetry. You will design and implement fast data collectors in Rust or Go, interface with MODBUS, CANOpen, J1939, NMEA 2000, OPC-UA and BACnet, and optimize for constrained gateway hardware.

Qualificações

• Expert-level proficiency in Rust or Go with emphasis on concurrency, memory management, and low-level I/O.
• Hands-on experience interfacing with serial, Ethernet, and CAN-bus for data extraction in OT environments.
• Strong Linux internals knowledge in embedded Linux, systemd, networking, and debugging hardware peripherals.

Responsabilidades

• Low-Level Data Acquisition: design high-performance data collection agents with Rust/Go for 24/7 telemetry ingestion.
• Protocol Interfacing: develop interfaces for MODBUS, CANOpen, J1939, NMEA 2000, OPC-UA, BACnet.
• Protocol Reverse Engineering: analyze undocumented protocols and translate signals into structured data for the platform.
• Technical Site Architecture: assess electrical schematics to specify optimal hardware configurations for deployments.
• Automated Provisioning: manage edge devices using Ansible for remote gateways.
• System Optimization: profile and optimize memory, IO, and interrupts on constrained gateway hardware.
