Job summary

HumanIT Digital Consulting is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to own Akamai CDN configurations and IaC through Terraform/Terragrunt. You will automate cloud infrastructure, enhance edge security, and drive performance for global assets in a fully remote role based in Portugal.

You will collaborate in an Agile environment, communicate complex networking concepts to stakeholders, and contribute to best-practice CDNs while supporting production systems at scale.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Cloud Infrastructure or DevOps experience in a large enterprise.
• 2–3+ years hands-on Akamai CDN configuration/management.
• Proficient with Terraform and Terragrunt for cloud environments.
• Strong Python coding; working knowledge of JavaScript and Shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of DNS, proxies and edge security (WAF, bot management).
• Experience supporting production environments and scaling large websites.
• Fluent English, written and spoken; based in Portugal.
• Experience with Git, automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build Python automation tooling to manage secure cloud infrastructure.
• Support and optimise Akamai CDN for high availability and low latency.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Automate edge security: DNS routing, proxies, WAF and bot management.
• Define CDN best practices and translate networking concepts for stakeholders.
• Contribute in an Agile enterprise context.
• Work fully remote from Portugal with occasional travel (0–15%).
