Job summary

Smartcat is seeking a Senior DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to lead our DevOps and Infrastructure teams across multiple regions, shaping and enforcing best SRE practices. The role focuses on scalable CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and robust cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support production and staging environments.

You will drive high availability, implement disaster recovery strategies, and collaborate with product and engineering teams in a remote-friendly, globally distributed setting.

Responsibilities

Mission We are looking for a true leader who will manage DevOps and Infrastructure teams to improve, and maintain the technical infrastructure required to support the development, deployment, and operation of Smartcat . This includes ensuring the availability, scalability, and reliability of staging and production environments, and defining and enforcing best SRE and DevOps practices.Outcomes Zero Incorrect Release-Related Production Issues: Enforce rigorous CI/CD testing and reviews to eliminate release errors. CI/CD and Staging Servers Availability at 99.9%: Maintain robust staging infrastructure with minimal downtime, ensuring a 99.9% uptime. Product Availability at 99.99%: Implement resilient systems and procedures for near-perfect product uptime, with effective disaster recovery plans.Decrease Lead time by accelerating CI/CD pipelines and environments Build and manage a team of A+ players within the engineering organisation across different regions and time zones. You are expected to strengthen the hiring process, provide expert technical guidance, effective coaching, and career development for your team members### Requirements3 years of experience leading a team in a fast-growing multinational IT business; 5 years of experience in DevOps and SRE, maintaining high-RPS (Requests Per Second) distributed products; Utilize a data-driven approach.
