Siemens AG in Lisbon is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for Sustainability to own end-to-end data models in Snowflake, from business questions to tested, productive data products. You will work with cross-functional teams across countries and partner with the Data Hub to ensure standards, quality, and security from day one.

The role requires strong data modelling, hands-on dbt and SQL, Python skills, and the ability to translate stakeholder requirements into scalable solutions.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in data or analytics engineering delivering data products to production.
• Expert SQL and data modelling with Snowflake expertise.
• Solid experience modelling data with dbt (Core/Cloud) including tests and documentation.
• Confident with Git-based workflows and CI/CD basics (GitLab or GitHub).
• Programming in Python.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience with environmental or sustainability data is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and optimise Snowflake data models for sustainability and compliance topics using dbt.
• Deliver to production via GitLab and dbt Cloud: merge requests, reviews, scheduled jobs, deployments.
• Own data quality: tests on uniqueness, grain and references; reconcile with source systems.
• Onboard new sources and reference data into the dbt project with incremental logic and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with Sustainability teams to translate requirements into data products.
• Support reporting consumers (e.g. Power BI) with clear data access.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering standards and adoption.
• Utilise AI-assisted tooling to improve development speed and quality.
