Job summary
HumanIT Digital Consulting in Lisbon is seeking a Data Engineer (Azure/Snowflake) to design and operate enterprise-grade data pipelines for AI and analytics. The role blends hands-on development with governance and quality checks, supporting ingestion from multiple sources and enabling AI workflows.
You will work hybrid in Lisbon, 1-2 days in the office, collaborating with international teams and data scientists.
Qualifications
- Senior-level Data Engineer with production‑grade experience.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, data modelling and ETL/ELT development.
- Hands‑on Azure cloud data engineering experience.
- Experience with Snowflake or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of data quality, orchestration, observability and governance.
- Ability to collaborate with international teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, OpenCode).
- English at least B2.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and operate enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines for AI, analytics and reporting.
- Create clean, reusable data products from multiple sources.
- Implement data quality checks, metadata, lineage and reliability patterns.
- Support integrations between Azure AI services, Snowflake, APIs and AWS data services.
- Translate use cases into data models, pipelines and serving layers.
- Onboard new data sources with data owners while ensuring governance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers and international teams.
