Ebury is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join the Porto data team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure used across the business to enable insight-driven decisions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, implement governance, and push cloud-based data solutions on GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions). Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualificações

• Strong experience with Python for data transformation and validation.
• Proficient SQL skills for querying large datasets and multiple data sources.
• Experience with data warehousing and data lake concepts in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of data modelling (e.g., slowly changing dimensions).

Ebury's strategic growth plan would not be possible without our Data team and we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team!
Our mission is to develop maintain and improve Ebury's Data Platform with a focus on building scalable, robust, and innovative frameworks.
As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will work closely with the rest of the team to help develop and improve the Data Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of a robust data platform to beconsumed across the company
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionableinsights
• Drive innovation and explore emerging technologies to enhance our data capabilities
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data qualityand security

About you:

• Proficiency in Python for data transformation and validation
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets, as well as experienceworking with structured and unstructured data sources
• Data engineering and modelling skills such as slowly changing dimensions anddimensional modelling
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud platforms, includingdesigning and implementing data solutions at scale
• Self-motivation and curiosity, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-pacedenvironment, continuously improving both technical and business skills
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) tools and services, such as BigQuery,Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions
• Fluency in English (Spanish, a plus)
