Sysmatch is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Portugal. The candidate will leverage SQL and Python to build robust, cloud-native data architectures on Azure, with hands-on experience in dbt, Airflow, and data orchestration.

Qualificações

• At least 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong production experience with SQL and Python.
• Solid production experience with Azure and understanding of cloud-native data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with a data orchestration tool such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory or equivalent.
• Mandatory: hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modelling.
• Strong experience with Snowflake or BigQuery, preferably with dimensional or Data Vault modelling.

About the Role: Senior Data Engineer M/F

Required Skills:

• At least 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong production experience with SQL and Python.
• Solid production experience with Azure and understanding of cloud-native data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with a data orchestration tool such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory or equivalent.
• Mandatory: hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modelling.
• Strong experience with Snowflake or BigQuery, preferably with dimensional or Data Vault modelling.

Nice to Have

• Spark / PySpark and Databricks.
• Streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis or Pub/Sub.
• Data formats such as Parquet, Iceberg or Delta Lake.
• Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and GitHub Actions.
• Data quality tools such as Great Expectations, Soda or Monte Carlo.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, CRM and marketing/ad-platform APIs.
