Job summary

Valantic seeks a Senior Data Engineer to shape a modern data lake for financial services. You will design and operate end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines, ingesting structured and unstructured data with NiFi, Spark, Python, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of practical data engineering experience.
• Proven ETL/ELT pipeline design, testing, and operation.
• Strong Python and SQL coding abilities.
• Hands-on Spark and PySpark for distributed processing.
• Experience with NiFi for ingestion and monitoring.
• Kafka for event-driven data flows.
• Relational and non-relational databases knowledge.
• Cloud experience on AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with data lake/lakehouse architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve a modern data lake for financial services.
• Create robust ETL/ELT pipelines from ingestion to delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.
