A leading digital solutions provider is looking for a Mid-Senior level Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines connecting Databricks with Power BI. This fully remote position from Portugal requires strong skills in Databricks architecture, SQL, and data modeling. The ideal candidate will work closely with business users to deliver high-quality dashboards and analytics solutions. Fluent English is necessary for effective collaboration and communication.

Qualificações

Strong understanding of Databricks architecture, including SQL.
Proficiency in Power BI (Desktop and Service).
Experience with Azure Data Factory and/or Azure DevOps.

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and analytical solutions that connect the processing power of Databricks with the self‑service and visualization capabilities of Power BI.

You will work closely with business users to understand reporting needs, model data effectively, and deliver high‑quality dashboards and analytics solutions. This role is 100% remote from Portugal and requires fluent English.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement data solutions that integrate Databricks with Power BI.
Work with Databricks SQL and data warehousing concepts to prepare and transform data.
Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that support business decision‑making.
Apply best practices in data modeling to ensure performance, scalability, and usability.
Collaborate directly with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective visualizations.
Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across the data platform.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical users.

Mandatory Skills

Strong understanding of Databricks architecture, including SQL and data warehousing concepts.
Proficiency in Power BI (Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service).
Experience with Azure Data Factory and/or Azure DevOps for data pipeline management.
Solid knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices.
Ability to create clear, effective, and engaging reports and dashboards.
Strong communication skills and experience working directly with end users.
