payabl. is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to transform payment data at scale into actionable decisions. You will build dashboards, analyze transaction flows, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

The role uses a modern stack including Superset, Druid, Trino, Iceberg, PostgreSQL, and JupyterHub. The position is based in Limassol, Cyprus with employment contract, and offers remote work from Europe on a service contract.

Qualificações

• Strong SQL, including window functions, CTEs, aggregation logic, and ability to reason about query performance on large datasets.
• Python for analysis, including pandas and a visualization library (Matplotlib/Plotly/Seaborn) with statistical work tools.
• Experience with relational and analytical databases, e.g. PostgreSQL; exposure to columnar/OLAP engines like Apache Druid/ClickHouse/BigQuery is a plus.
• Experience building dashboards in BI tools (Superset/Power BI/Tableau/Looker/Qlik) and familiarity with notebooks for exploratory analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate payment performance questions end to end and explain why anomalies occur.
• Prepare datasets by filtering, handling missing values, and validating quality.
• Apply statistical techniques to identify patterns and quantify real changes vs noise.
• Build and maintain Superset dashboards and Druid data cubes for daily use.
• Prepare recurring reports for internal, regulatory, and scheme reporting.
• Automate recurring analysis and reporting to scale with business growth.
• Present insights with clear, actionable recommendations backed by evidence.
• Collaborate with other departments to translate business questions into analytical work.
