Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure swift and efficient VAT compliance by understanding client business flows and submitting VAT declarations on time.
Validate client-submitted VAT data and declarations to ensure compliance with country-specific legislation.
Serve as the primary contact for clients, preparing reports and advisory emails.
Liaise with tax authorities in countries where clients have strategic transactions.
Maintain expertise in VAT rules and legislation for specific country clusters.
Handle information requests and audits from tax authorities on behalf of clients.
Assist the Manager with complex client business issues.
Oversee VAT registration and deregistration processes to ensure compliance.
Develop VAT strategies for businesses and individuals, preparing them for the financial market.
Proactively research and update VAT knowledge databases.
Manage client files and team, estimating client impact and managing costs.
Train junior team members.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in Law, Management or Economics.
Fluent in English (spoken and written). Other languages will also be valued in the recruitment process.
Professional experience of at least 3 years in a multinational company / environment.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Standard indoor office environment.
Long periods of sitting while working at computer.
Occasional long periods of standing.
Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
Position requires regular interaction with employees and vendors both in person and via email and telephone.
Independent travel requirement: 5 – 10%
