We Are META is seeking a Senior Ruby Developer to join our remote-friendly team operating from Portugal. You’ll design and build scalable systems, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and contribute to API design and cloud-based infrastructure.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Ruby proficiency.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining scalable production systems.
• Solid understanding of API design and distributed systems.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AWS/GCP/Azure and tools like Docker, Kubernetes or Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Fluency in English and French (B2/C1).
• Based in Portugal or eligible to work remotely in Portugal.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering;
• Strong proficiency in Ruby;
• Experience designing, building and maintaining scalable and reliable systems in production environments;
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles, API design and distributed systems;
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis);
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure (e.g, AWS, GCP, Azure) and tools like Docker, Kubernetes or Terraform;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and agile development practices;
• Experience with Ruby on Rail, React, Ember, GraphQL and Kafka is a bonus;
• Fluency in English and French (B2/C1 Level);
• Availability for a remote regime based in Portu gal (candidates should be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit)
