Job summary

HumanIT Digital Consulting is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our IT organization in Lisbon on a hybrid schedule (1-2 days in the office). The role focuses on migrating client applications to AWS, building deployment tools, and ensuring secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.

You will design cloud architectures, implement CI/CD pipelines, and support engineering teams across environments. English must be at least B2, and some international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer in complex programs.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience with AWS CDK; networking, security and virtualization.
• English level B2 or higher; both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel abroad.
• Ownership mindset and proactive communicator.
• Team player with collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities

• Designing and architecting solutions for existing client-facing applications as they move to AWS.
• Designing and building tools and frameworks to deploy and manage the platforms.
• Recommending architecture and process improvements.
• Supporting scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backups and restores across environments.
• Ensuring cloud security with best-in-class cloud security solutions.
• Troubleshooting and solving problems across platform and application domains.
• Creating, maintaining and optimizing automated build and deployment pipelines.
• Working with the Cloud Infrastructure team on application migrations.
• Acting as an enabler for other developers throughout the cloud migration.
