Volkswagen Group Digital Solutions [Portugal] is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to enable product teams by building and operating AWS-based cloud and CI/CD platforms.

You will apply Infrastructure as Code, drive automation, reliability, and observability, and collaborate across developers, security, and management to align standards and best practices. This role offers a remote-friendly setup, flexible hours, and opportunities to advance the cloud platform strategy.

Qualificações

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
• In-Depth knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Pillars.
• Experience building and operating highly available cloud platforms.
• Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (AWS native preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
• Knowledge of software development and scripting (Python, Bash, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, requirements, and technical decision-making.
• Strong quality, security, and automation mindset.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Defining and promoting platform standards, guardrails, and best practices.
• Managing and prioritizing demands, requirements, and improvement initiatives.
• Contributing to product and service management of the Cloud and CI/CD platforms.
• Taking ownership of initiatives and drive them from idea to successful implementation.
• Acting as Capability Owner or Deputy for areas such as Security, FinOps, Operations, Technical Enablement or Service Governance.
