Quadrante is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer - Special Structures to join our team in Lisbon. You will lead complex structural projects, focusing on bridges and special structures, and take technical responsibility for proposed solutions.

Responsibilities include performing advanced analyses with SAP2000, Robot, and other tools; defining geotechnical and structural designs; ensuring codes compliance; and mentoring junior engineers while driving innovation in processes and methods.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in civil engineering, with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in structural design projects.
• Experience with SAP2000/Robot, AutoCAD, Revit or Allplan is valued.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development of complex structural projects, focusing on bridges, viaducts, and special structures, taking technical responsibility for proposed solutions.
• Perform and validate advanced structural analyses, including static, dynamic, and seismic assessments, using specialized software and ensuring model quality.
• Define and optimize structural and geotechnical solutions, including foundations and soil–structure interaction, for technical and economic efficiency.
• Ensure project compliance with national and international codes and standards and meet client requirements.
• Prepare and review technical reports, design briefs, specifications, and tender documentation with rigour and consistency.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure technical alignment across disciplines.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design methods and project tools.

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer - Special Structures to join our team and play a key role in delivering complex and high-impact building projects.

Job Responsibilities – What you will build:

In this role, you will contribute directly to shaping our future and creating tangible impact.

You will:

• Lead the development of complex structural projects, with a focus on bridges, viaducts, and special structures, taking technical responsibility for the proposed solutions.
• Perform and validate advanced structural analyses, including static, dynamic, and seismic assessments, using specialised software (SAP2000, Robot, among others) and ensuring the quality of analytical models.
• Define and optimise structural and geotechnical solutions, including foundations, soil–structure interaction, and construction methods, ensuring technical and economic efficiency.
• Ensure project compliance with national and international codes and standards, applying industry best practices and meeting client- and sector-specific requirements.
• Prepare and review technical reports, design briefs, specifications, and tender documentation, ensuring technical rigour and consistency.
• Support and guide project teams, providing mentoring to junior engineers and ensuring technical alignment within the team and across disciplines.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement, keeping up to date with technological advancements and proposing enhancements to design methods, internal processes, and project tools.
