iTRecruiter is seeking a Senior C++ Software Performance Engineer to join a highly specialized team in Portugal, focused on optimizing a large-scale in-memory database and data management platform.

The role spans CPU architectures and low-level optimizations, with hands-on profiling and PoC development. Hybrid work model with 2 days onsite, based in Porto/Gaia, Lisbon or Fundão; English B2+ required.

Qualificações

• Strong C++ skills and architecture knowledge.
• Proven experience with performance analysis and optimization.
• Experience with profiling tools such as Linux perf and VTune.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate and optimize performance of a complex database environment.
• Analyze CPU-level bottlenecks across architectures.
• Use profiling tools to investigate performance issues and verify improvements.
• Develop proof-of-concept (PoC) C++ code changes.
• Build and extend internal performance analysis tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and hardware teams on optimizations.
