Axians Portugal is seeking a Senior C++ Developer to join a challenging project in the financial services sector. You will develop, enhance, and maintain critical trading platform components, delivering high-performance, low-latency, and secure real-time systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams through the SDLC, participate in code reviews, and work with production support for releases. English fluency is required; Lisbon-based role with competitive compensation and health

Qualificações

• 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years as IT team lead.
• Solid experience with C++ (11/14/17/20), STL and Boost.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience with SDLC.
• Experience with electronic trading platforms or other high-load real-time systems.
• Experience in agile development methodologies.
• Experience in migration/refactoring projects to new rails.
• Understanding of design & architecture principles, data structures and algorithms.
• Strong Linux skills with cmake, gcc, gdb.
• Unix shell scripting is a plus.
• Knowledge of FIX or other Fintech protocols is a plus.
• Fluency in English.

Senior C++ Developer

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join a challenging project within the financial services sector. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of critical trading platform components, ensuring high levels of performance, reliability, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to the delivery of robust real-time systems that support business-critical operations.

What You Will Do On a Daily Basis

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of the trading platform.
• Ensure the platform is developed and maintained to the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.
• Participate in an agile based software development life-cycle including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing and code reviews.
• Collaborate with the production support team for release and maintenance of the components.

Your Key Skills

• Advanced C++ development and software engineering expertise.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience developing high-performance, low-latency, and real-time applications.

Your Main Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years as an IT team lead.
