Catawiki is seeking a Backend Engineer to join one of our autonomous Agile teams in Lisbon. You will contribute to scalable microservices across the Demand, Supply, or Fulfilment verticals, delivering end-to-end features with a strong focus on reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with product designers, owners, and other engineers, owning quality and maintainability while exploring new technologies and ideas in a fast-growing, global marketplace.

Qualificações

• Strong software engineering foundations and OO programming.
• 3+ years of experience with customer-facing products in e-commerce/fintech/SaaS.
• Backend services design, deployment, high availability and low latency considerations.
• Good API design and relational database knowledge (SQL).
• Clear English communication and ability to document and share ideas.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and capable of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and grow in role.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end microservices within your squad.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve services.
• Collaborate with product designers, owners, frontend/backend/mobile engineers to deliver innovations.
• Identify improvements to engineering processes and workflows.
• Document best practices and contribute to a healthy engineering culture.
• Fix bugs and refactor code to improve reliability and performance.
• Experiment with new technologies during Technical Weeks.
