Loka, a globally distributed tech consultancy, seeks an Advanced Backend Engineer to design and implement backend solutions across projects. You’ll focus on Python and/or NodeJs to deliver high-performing, reliable and secure backend applications, elevating the backend crew and collaborating with clients and technical leads.

Formación

• 3+ years Backend development.
• Fluent in Python or NodeJs (Typescript).
• Strong CS foundation.
• Understanding of API/Web communication protocols (OpenAPI, gRPC).
• Understand concurrency concepts in APIs/Web.
• Understand cloud services and landscape.
• Understand traditional and serverless architectures.
• Capable of working container-first.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and implement Backend components spanning APIs, serverless functions, distributed services, queue systems, data storage services and more.
• Contribute to decisions around architectural trade-offs on a system and application level with performance requirements and constraints in mind.
• Contribute to and implement security and data-protection best practices across systems.
• Raise the quality bar by maintaining effective test suites and writing clean code and documentation.
• Work with technical leads and clients to gather requirements, align expectations and provide updates on deliverables.
• Follow career track for growth by demonstrating technical excellence, autonomy, ownership, communication and teamwork.
• Stay up to date with industry trends to incorporate cutting-edge techniques and tools into projects.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration with other teams to ensure seamless integration of Backend solutions.
