Ethena is building a new engineering team to own the money-paths at the core of Ethena Pay, a neobanking style app built atop stablecoin infrastructure. As Staff/Senior Engineer, you own the correctness and evolution of payments, payouts, deposits, transfers, and reconciliation, plus the app-facing APIs and the authentication backend used by the native mobile app.

Your north star is that money moves correctly, exactly once, and every request is fast, versioned, and secure.

Qualificações

• Experience building and operating backend systems that handle real money in production.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and own complex backend systems for a high usage consumer app.
• Own the app-facing API contract with versioning, idempotency, and error models.
• Own authentication/authorization backend including WebAuthn/passkeys.
• Defend the auth surface with rate limiting and secure handling of PII/secrets.
• Set patterns, tests, and docs to enable safe backend extension by engineers.
• Trace and document money-paths end-to-end across APIs, wallet, and on‑chain settlement.
• Ship fast with test-driven and behavior-driven development.
