Teya, Porto-based fintech, is building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape technology, drive performance, and deliver seamless experiences for merchants.

You will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain core systems powering payments, core banking, and merchant lifecycle management. The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in backend systems.
• Expertise in Java (17+), Spring Boot and modern backend engineering practices.
• Experience with system design, microservices, and API development.
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency, reliable systems.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain clean, secure, well-tested code across services.
• Own features from scoping to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, security, and operations.
• Build tools and integrate systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Contribute to CI/CD and automated testing to ensure a stable pipeline.
• Mentor peers and promote best practices in software development.
