Sword Health is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Consumer Growth to build services that help people discover our products, become paying members, experience value, and stay engaged over time.

Working closely with Product, Design, Data, Marketing, and mobile engineers, you will own subscription, payment, and retention journeys, while enabling experimentation and reliable instrumentation.

Qualificações

• Experience building and operating backend services in production with TypeScript.
• Strong API design, relational databases, data modeling, and automated testing.
• Understanding of asynchronous processing and distributed systems.
• Ability to translate product goals into pragmatic technical solutions and trade-offs.
• Familiarity with product analytics, instrumentation, and reliable results.
• Experience diagnosing production issues using logs, metrics, and tracing.
• Clear communication, collaboration, ownership in evolving environments, and English fluency.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs across web, Android, and iOS.
• Construct subscription and payment capabilities including checkout integrations and lifecycle events.
• Enable experiments via feature flags, cohort targeting, and reliable experiment assignment.
• Instrument events and integrations to understand acquisition, funnel performance, and behavior.
• Collaborate with Product and Data to test hypotheses and measure results after launch.
• Improve performance and reliability across critical journeys, especially payments and data integrity.
• Own changes through design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development while ensuring correctness and security.
