Project Overview

Our client is a leading commercial real estate advisory and service provider for large institutional investors, global corporations, and various owners and occupiers.

Their mission is to simplify the process of leasing, buying, or selling properties across multiple sectors, including retail, office, multifamily, industrial, student housing, and hospitality.

The team is committed to guiding clients through the real estate process, ensuring it is rewarding for everyone involved.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze the current legacy CRE Ratings platform, documenting existing architecture, workflows, and issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand priorities and capture both business and technical requirements.
  • Design and deliver enhancements to the ratings system, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance.
  • Conduct a holistic end-to-end (E2E) review of the platform, including performance, security, code quality, and data architecture.
  • Propose and design the future-state architecture, incorporating best practices and a modernization roadmap tailored to business needs.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams (product, QA, data, infrastructure) to ensure alignment and successful delivery of platform goals.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions as needed.
  • Produce clear and actionable documentation to support technical decision-making and gain senior leadership buy-in.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar roles within enterprise technology environments.
  • Expertise in software architecture, SDLC, and legacy system modernization.
  • Experience reviewing and modernizing legacy systems built with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET frameworks.
  • Proven ability in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Track record of delivering enhancements to business-critical platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and in distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience with CRE, financial ratings, or property management platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with legacy and modern technology stacks.
  • Knowledge of cloud migration, microservices, and API-driven architectures.
  • Background in performance optimization and scalable design.
