Job summary

iTRTech Group seeks a Senior Business Analyst to join an international IT environment supporting Finance and Risk, in a hybrid Lisbon or Porto setup. You will manage the full requirements lifecycle, translate business needs into functional specifications and work with developers in an Agile context.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT, strong ALM Octane, Jira and Confluence skills, and fluent English (min B2; expert level stated). Knowledge of data APIs and data virtualization is a plus.

Qualifications

• More than 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT.
• Academic background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Management.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in BPMN, UML or equivalent modelling.
• Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies, backlog refinement, sprint management and MVP prioritisation.
• Experience in integration testing, UAT, defect management and traceability.
• Understanding of APIs and data virtualization.
• Experience in reference data administration, data management and databases.
• Proficiency in ALM Octane, Jira and Confluence.
• English proficiency: minimum B2, with expert-level English also indicated.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, business rules and process maps.
• Manage and prioritise the backlog in line with MVP objectives.
• Analyse As-Is processes and design To-Be workflows, identifying gaps and opportunities for automation.
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, aligning scope, priorities and expectations.
• Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and validate proposed solutions.
• Define test strategies and prepare IST scenarios covering data flows, APIs and interfaces.
• Coordinate functional testing and UAT, and perform regression testing.
• Manage defects and maintain traceability between requirements, test cases and results.
• Investigate data quality issues and root causes of inconsistencies across reference data sources.
• Support end users throughout validation, deployment and adoption.
