Job summary

Content Guru Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Workforce Management team in Porto. The role focuses on algorithmic, logical and mathematical development within our mission‑critical communications platform, using strong C# skills.

You will own complex development tasks, contribute to technical decisions, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with customers and teammates to clarify requirements and ensure robust algorithm behaviour.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software development experience.
• Experience with algorithms or mathematical components in systems.
• Strong logical thinking, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good understanding of software development practices including version control, CI and testing.
• Ability to write and test code against functional and non‑functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain applications with algorithmic functionality.
• Write clean, well‑structured code using C#.
• Understand existing algorithms, parameters and use cases.
• Identify approaches to improve and extend algorithms.
• Contribute to design, specification and refinement of development work.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and documentation.
• Work with customers and colleagues to understand requirements and explain algorithm behaviours.
• Take ownership of complex development work and influence technical decisions.
• Support and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and contribute to team improvements.
