The role focuses on building production AI systems using LLMs, agents and modern tooling, with roughly 70–90% backend work across LLM apps, backend services, tool calling and web interfaces. Strong fundamentals and production shipping experience are essential; personal AI projects count.

I’m working with a fast-growing AI product company looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to help build production AI systems using LLMs, agents and modern AI tooling.

This is a hands-on engineering role, roughly 70–90% backend, working across:

• Production LLM applications & AI agents
• Backend services, APIs & integrations
• Tool calling & human-in-the-loop workflows
• Testing, permissions & failure handling
• TypeScript/React web applications
• AI evaluation and production reliability

Tech: Python, TypeScript, React, APIs, databases, LLMs & agents.

You’ll need strong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production software, ideally within a product, startup or scale-up environment.

You don’t necessarily need commercial AI experience — substantial personal LLM/AI projects will also be considered.
