PagerDuty is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our Operations Cloud, shaping AI-powered features across real-time event streams. You will work at the intersection of distributed systems and applied AI, owning orchestration, retrieval pipelines, and low-latency inference in a scalable environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years building production AI systems, strong cloud and Kubernetes expertise, and a pragmatic approach to reliability.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping AI systems in production, including orchestration, serving, and evaluation.
• Strong programming fundamentals and ability to move between systems and AI code.
• Grounding in prompting, retrieval, agent patterns, and evaluating LLM behavior.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build AI-powered features — LLM agents, retrieval, and event intelligence for high-volume, real-time streams.
• Architect and own agent orchestration, retrieval pipelines, tool/API integrations, and low-latency inference at scale.
• Ensure consistency, throughput, fault tolerance, and cost across services under bursty load.
• Move AI features from prototype to production with evaluation, guardrails, and observability loops.
• Collaborate with platform, product, and research teams to integrate AI into existing services.
