Job summary

Wire IT is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to join its Porto team in a hybrid setup. The role focuses on designing and implementing scalable C#/.NET solutions and production-ready ML pipelines, with emphasis on NLP, LLMs, and trusted AI practices.

You will work with Azure/AWS cloud platforms, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD to deliver robust AI-enabled applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams and Product Owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) alongside .NET.
• Hands-on experience with NLP tools such as Hugging Face and LLM frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), microservices, and deploying custom models.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong focus on trusted AI practices, API security, and data privacy.
• Excellent problem-solving, Agile/Scrum proficiency, and fluent English.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining efficient C#/NET code alongside production ML pipelines.
• Ability to translate business requirements into AI/ML solutions, especially NLP/LLMs.
• Experience fine-tuning and deploying pre-trained models for specific use cases.
• Experience creating POCs for R&D projects and analyzing complex datasets.
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring team members.
• Experience maintaining documentation for software architecture and AI algorithms.
• Experience prioritizing client issue resolution according to SLAs and identifying tech debt.
