Olisipo is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design and implement production-grade automation solutions. You will translate business processes into robust workflows, build backend services in Python or Java, and orchestrate data pipelines with AI-enabled components.

You will collaborate with IT and business teams, deploy in hybrid cloud, and ensure scalable, secure operations with CI/CD and proper monitoring. English fluency is required for global collaboration.

Qualificações

Profile

• At least 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, Intelligent Automation, Business Process Automation, AI Engineering or a similar field;
• Proven experience in the development and implementation of automation solutions in production;
• Strong experience in backend development using Python or Java;
• Practical experience with APIs, application integration, microservices, databases and/or messaging systems;
• Experience in the design and operation of business or data workflows;
• Experience in integrating LLMs, RAG or AI Agents into business applications;
• Knowledge of workflow and automation platforms, such as Dataiku, RPA, KNIME, n8n or Power Automate;
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Docker, monitoring and production deployment;
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS (knowledge of Azure or GCP combined with strong experience in automation will also be considered);
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business processes and translate them into technical automation solutions;
• Design workflows involving applications, APIs, databases, business rules, approvals, notifications and exception handling;
• Develop backend services and integrations using Python or Java;
• Create and integrate REST APIs, microservices and event-driven services;
• Orchestrate data pipelines, application services, workflows and AI agents;
• Integrate LLMs, RAG and AI agents into business processes;
• Implement agent capabilities, including tool calling, task planning, context management and human approval;
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Dataiku or similar platforms;
• Integrate automation workflows with existing business systems and applications;
• Develop in-house tools, dashboards or simple interfaces where necessary;
• Implement and operate solutions in cloud environments, preferably AWS;
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and ensure best practices for versioning, monitoring, logging and security;
• Document workflows, integration standards, technical decisions and operational procedures;
• Work closely with business and IT teams to clarify requirements and ensure the delivery of solutions into production.
