Mercer, part of Marsh McLennan, seeks an experienced life actuarial professional to join the GSD team in Lisbon. The role focuses on review and validation of actuarial valuations for Portuguese pension schemes and insurance work, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and independent analysis.

You will collaborate with consultants and senior actuaries in a hybrid Lisbon office, delivering high-quality outputs while managing timelines and contributing to technical standards.

Qualificações

• More than 8 years of experience in technical life actuarial roles.
• Strong actuarial background with experience in actuarial valuation work.
• Experience in the Portuguese insurance and pension schemes market.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Professional level of English, both written and spoken.
• IFoA exams or equivalent actuarial certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Review and validate actuarial valuations, with a focus on Portuguese pension schemes and insurance-related work.
• Perform peer reviews of actuarial assessments and technical outputs.
• Ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of valuation calculations and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to support delivery and technical review.
• Manage timelines, priorities, and technical workload in line with business needs.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of technical standards and best practice within the team.
