Hovione in Portugal is seeking a Senior Finance Technician to own the end-to-end Accounts Payable cycle for sites in Portugal, Ireland and the US, from invoice processing to reconciliations and month-end support. You will work with vendors, procurement, and approvers to ensure accuracy and timely payments, and you will challenge processes to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualificações

• Academic or vocational qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related area, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable.
• Hands-on experience with SAP.
• Experience with vendor statement reconciliation and handling vendor inquiries.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with digital tools.
• A process-oriented mindset, with a focus on quality over quantity.
• Clear, open communication and ability to work with stakeholders across countries.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese (both mandatory).
• Experience in a Shared Services environment is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Process invoices from submission and validation through payment.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle vendor inquiries and manage AP mailboxes.
• Monitor the backlog and prioritize work to keep processes on track.
• Process travel and expense claims.
• Support month-end closing activities.
• Identify and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and consistency across the AP process.
