AlphaConnect in Lisbon, Portugal seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, ensure accuracy, and uphold regulatory compliance. The role involves preparing financial statements, budgeting reports, and supervising junior staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a senior accounting role, a relevant degree, and proficiency in local GAAP/IFRS. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. This is a full-time position based in Lisbon.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department.

• Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify discrepancies or issues.

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax filings and other financial processes.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Train and supervise junior accounting staff as needed.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly/year-end close procedures.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Lisbon Portugal As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial tasks

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department

• Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify discrepancies or issues
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance Masters degree preferred
• CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of local GAAPIFRS principles and regulations
• Proficient in using accounting software eg Quickbooks SAP and MS Excel
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
