Subsea7 in Lisbon seeks a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will contribute to month-end close, VAT, CIT, and statutory financial statements while supporting an evolving international business environment.

You will work with SAP and Primavera, prepare COPE reports, and play a role in finance transformation initiatives, including automation and digital archiving.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Portuguese SNC/IFRS.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese tax regulations (VAT and CIT).
• Experience with SAP and Primavera ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support monthly and year-end close processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Prepare, review and post accounting entries in SAP and Primavera.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and corporate income tax declarations.
• Manage monthly customer invoicing through Primavera and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in statutory financial statements and external audits.
• Support Accounts Payable processes and collaborate with AP teams.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and process improvements.

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12 month fixed-term contract, based in Lisbon. Reporting directly to the Financial Coordinator, this role offers a great opportunity to contribute to a broad range of accounting, taxation, reporting, and finance transformation activities within an evolving international business environment.

What will you be doing?

• Support the monthly and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare, review and post accounting entries in SAP and Primavera.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and annual Corporate Income Tax (CIT) declarations.
• Manage and issue monthly customer invoicing through Primavera.
• Prepare and validate monthly SAF-T files in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and support external audit activities.
• Support Accounts Payable processes and collaborate with the FRC Accounts Payable team.
• Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation and thorough analysis of account balances.
• Prepare monthly COPE reports for submission to the Bank of Portugal.
• Ensure compliance with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Provide accounting and tax support to internal stakeholders, responding to queries and requests in a timely manner.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
• Participate in process improvement and finance transformation initiatives, including:
  • Automation of the COPE reporting process.
  • Enhancements to the SAP S/4HANA and Primavera interface.
  • Implementation of e-invoicing solutions.
  • Implementation of digital archiving solutions in compliance with local regulations.

What experience would we like you to have?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous professional experience in a similar accounting role.
• In-depth knowledge of Portuguese GAAP (SNC) and IFRS.
• Solid understanding of Portuguese tax regulations, particularly VAT and Corporate Income Tax.
• Experience working with SAP and Primavera ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
