Job summary

PwC Portugal is seeking an Experienced Senior Accountant to join our Lisbon team. You will lead accounting and tax compliance projects, report to management and clients, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

You will mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth in a dynamic, inclusive environment. The role requires 3+ years in Finance & Accounting, a Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting-related field, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or similar.
• More than 3 years of experience in Finance & Accounting.
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate accounting and tax compliance projects.
• Report to management and clients; tax declarations, month-end & year-end reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices across teams.

The Role

• Lead and coordinate accounting and tax compliance projects, with highest standards of quality and accuracy;
• Report to management and clients, tax declarations, month end reportings and year end obligations;
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and stakeholders;
• Drive by innovation, identifying processes improvements and implementing best practices across our teams;
• Guide and mentoring junior team members, fostering their growth and responsibilities;
• Actively contribute to the development and growth of our team.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or similar fields;
• More than 3 years of experience in Finance & Accounting;
• Critical thinking, autonomy, and a proactive attitude towards responsibility;
• Fluency in English, other languages are a plus;
• Experience in team management.
