Connect Digital in Lisbon is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join an international project in Portugal. The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on-site in Lisbon and offers exposure to Linux-based infrastructure and cybersecurity, automation, and operations.

You will maintain secure, stable environments, monitor security events, automate tasks with Python or Bash, and work with cross-functional teams to apply best practices and improve incident response and resilience.

Qualificações

We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join an international project in Portugal.

This is a hybrid role based in Lisbon, requiring two to three days per week on-site. The opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong Linux background and experience or interest in cybersecurity, automation, and infrastructure operations.

You will help maintain secure, stable, and resilient environments while supporting security monitoring, incident analysis, infrastructure hardening, automation, and the continuous improvement of operational and security processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and service availability.
• Monitor security alerts and system activity, investigate anomalies, and support threat detection activities.
• Automate operational and administrative tasks using scripting languages to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to implement security best practices across systems and services.
• Support incident analysis, root cause investigations, and remediation activities.
• Contribute to infrastructure hardening, operational resilience, and continuous process improvement.
• Assist with troubleshooting complex infrastructure and security-related issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in infrastructure operations, systems administration, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, or a similar field.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and log analysis platforms.
• Good scripting skills using Python, Bash, Shell, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security principles and system-hardening practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication skills in English at B2 level or above.

Nice to Have

• Previous exposure to cybersecurity operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Salary & Benefits

• Gross annual salary: €29,000–€34,000, depending on experience and seniority.
• Flexible benefits package.
• Extra day off on your birthday.
• One additional day off on either 24 December or 31 December.
