What is the key purpose of the position? As a Senior School Assistant, the role is to provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support to the Senior School leadership, teachers, and students, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and contributing to the effective delivery of the curriculum and whole-school activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Senior School leadership, teachers, and staff.
• Maintain and update student records, timetables, and attendance registers using school systems (ISAMS, Google Apps, Microsoft).
• Assist with the organisation of timetables, cover arrangements, assessments, and examinations.
• Support the planning and coordination of academic and pastoral events, including parents’ evenings and assemblies.
• Act as a first point of contact for student and parent enquiries, ensuring clear and professional communication.
• Manage reception tasks, correspondence, scheduling, and resource coordination to support school operations.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Proven experience in an administrative or school support role, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Excellent IT literacy, including proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and school management systems (e.g., ISAMS).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in handling student data and administrative processes.
• A proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Respect for confidentiality and a strong commitment to safeguarding.
• A collaborative mindset, able to work well as part of a team while also taking initiative independently.
