Job summary

Signify Technology is seeking a Scala Engineer to contribute to backend services and platform features for a growing, mission-driven product. The role is remote but based in Portugal, offering flexible work arrangements and collaboration with an international team.

You will participate in Agile ceremonies, drive secure, scalable software, and document systems clearly while staying current with the Typelevel ecosystem and AWS.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience developing Scala backend systems, with functional programming knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with the Typelevel ecosystem, ideally Cats/Cats Effect.
• Experience with microservices and AWS is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and software engineering skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
