Job summary

Grit Solutions is seeking a mid-level SAS/Data Engineer to modernize legacy SAS processes by migrating them to Databricks and Fabric. You will work closely with business teams to capture requirements, reverse engineer SAS code and data sources, and document the resulting processes and rules.

You will also support build, testing and validation of migrated solutions and perform data quality checks with cross-system reconciliations.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional experience
• Solid SAS background and code understanding
• Requirements elicitation with business stakeholders
• SQL for data manipulation and transformation
• Documentation of processes, rules and data flows
• Foundational knowledge of Databricks for data processing
• Good level of English and strong communication
• Autonomy and team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Modernize and phase out legacy SAS processes and migrate to Databricks and Fabric
• Partner with business teams to capture processes and business rules
• Reverse engineer SAS code and data sources
• Document knowledge gathered and support build, test and validation of migrated solutions
• Provide output comparison between platforms
