Fusion Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP MDG Functional Consultant – Finance to drive governance design and implementation for a major SAP transformation. You will define MDG data models, workflows and collaborate with Finance, Controlling and Master Data teams across SAP ECC and S/4HANA.

Join a global team in Lisbon, contributing to data migration, testing, UAT and go-live activities while helping shape master data governance for a leading Life Sciences client.

Qualificações

• 7–10+ years of SAP experience with 3–5 years in MDG functional work.
• Strong MDG Finance expertise and FI/CO mastery.
• Hands-on with MDG data models, governance workflows, and change requests.
• Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA including migrations.
• Data migration, mass upload, validation and reconciliation.
• Workshop facilitation and stakeholder management.
• Fluent German and English.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Functional Consultant – Finance to support a major SAP transformation initiative. The role requires strong functional expertise in SAP Master Data Governance for financial master data, with responsibility for defining governance processes, functional designs, workflows, and business requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the functional design and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for the Finance domain, including General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and related financial master data.
• Gather, analyze, and challenge business requirements and translate them into scalable MDG governance processes.
• Define and design MDG data models, change request types, approval workflows, validations, derivations, and replication requirements.
• Work closely with Finance, Controlling, Accounting, and Master Data stakeholders to define target governance processes and approval flows.
• Collaborate with technical, integration, and SAP FI/CO teams to ensure alignment between functional requirements and technical implementation.
• Support data migration, mass upload, data validation, reconciliation, testing, UAT, and go-live activities.
• Identify cross-functional dependencies and ensure alignment with the overall SAP transformation and global template.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, and design decisions.
• Support SAP MDG migration, upgrade, and transformation activities across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of SAP experience, with at least 3–5 years of hands‑on SAP MDG functional experience.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP MDG Finance.
• Strong understanding of SAP FI/CO master data structures and processes.
• Hands‑on experience with MDG data models, governance workflows, change requests, validations, derivations, and replication.
• Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, including MDG migration, upgrade, or transformation programs.
• Experience with data migration, mass upload, data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes.
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent German and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Master Data Governance Certification.
• Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA, including co-deployed and hub deployment models.
• Experience with MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing.
• Experience with SAP Fiori.
• Understanding of SAP Clean Core architecture.
• Experience in large-scale global SAP S/4HANA transformation and template rollout programs.
